Melissa and Greg | Engaged

A couple of weeks ago, I put out a “casting call” on my Facebook fan page for a cute, fun couple to model for me for a free session. I had no idea what kind of response I would get, especially since my Birmingham following is still in its baby stages, so I was surprised when literally 15 minutes later I had an email in my inbox from a girl named Ashley. Thing is, she wasn’t even volunteering herself… she was writing to nominate her sister Melissa, who had recently gotten engaged to Greg. She talked about what a great couple they are, how Melissa is a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta and paints portraits of people’s dogs at the dog park, and how Greg is studying to be an engineer, and how they are such giving, deserving people, and how Melissa fell in love with my work at the bridal show. Then, next thing I know, I have two MORE emails in my inbox… from more people singing Melissa and Greg’s praises! I mean, how could I say no to that?

So last Saturday we met up at Camp Coleman up in Trussville, which is a Girl Scouts camp where Melissa has worked during the summers. Talk about a fantastic location for an engagement shoot! Barns, cabins, horses, bridges, canoes, trees, fences… it was perfect. And Melissa and Greg were such troopers to endure the bitterly cold, dreary weather and my terrible jokes. :) They rocked it out, and I’m so excited to share these!

I have to kick things off with this absolutely adorable photo. Melissa has the cutest laugh!

How great is this horse barn? These two were totally adventurous and climbed right on up into the loft. Love it!

Gorgeous! Look at those green eyes!

Oh come on. You know you wanted a silly face.

Thank you guys so much for indulging me in a little Saturday afternoon fun! And a big thank you to Ashley, not only for your nomination, but also for coming along to help out! I had a blast with you guys. :)

What a super cute couple! You can just see personality plus oozing from them! Another stelar shoot Morgs!

P.S. Even the dog has personality - perhaps a new playmate for Gretch? They look alike!

Melissa really did get excited about your work that she saw at the bridal show, and now I see why - really excellent shots, and you got them to be themselves. Very cool!
