I’ve come to a decision. Winter weddings MIGHT be my new favorite. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about shooting my first December wedding. Winter comes with all sorts of photographic challenges… freezing cold weather, rapidly disappearing light, and gray skies, to name a few. But what I hadn’t considered was how magical and romantic it could be to be surrounded with holiday excitement and gorgeous Christmas decorations on top of the usual wedding day joy. Plus, Anne did a fantastic job of leaving lottts of time for photos before the ceremony, so we got to take advantage of the unusually sunny and fairly mild day. (And kudos to all the girls, who braved chilly winds with bare arms and legs for the sake of beautiful photographs for their friends!)
Despite having some issues with Google maps, I managed to arrive at Salem Baptist Church in Knoxville last Saturday in one piece. :) As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be a low key, simple, beautiful day. Because that’s the kind of people Anne and Chase are, and that’s the kind of love they share. Never high-maintenance or flashy or complicated… just pure and sweet and adorable. I couldn’t be happier for them. I hope you guys are having an AMAZING time on your cruise while the rest of are freezing our butts off around here. :)
Without further ado….
Anne got this fortune shortly before Chase proposed to her… and it wasn’t planned AT ALL! How crazy is that? So special that she kept it in their ring box.
What a bunch of lovely ladies! And again, SO brave to be baring those arms and legs.
Love this.
Married! Yay!
Congratulations you guys! It was such an honor to document your love!

Such an adorable couple!!!! Kind of reminds me of another adorable couple (J X M :). I always loved December weddings and this one was beautiful. My two faves - Anne at the piano and Chase with his grandma (at least I am assuming it is his grandma). Beautiful work Morgan!!!!
My favorite shot is that groom shot, killer. I love your work.
My faves are the guys in the field shot and her at the piano…very glam!
What a beautiful winter wedding, made even more beautiful and memorable by the photographs that you took, Morgan. The groom and his Grandmother is one of a kind and I love the bride with the Christmas tree lights behind her. I would gladly recommend you as a photographer whenever I hear that someone needs one and I will just as soon as I know of one!
WOW, the bride sitting at the piano..BEAUTIFUL!! Great job, as usual!
