Amanda is an old friend of mine and Jamie’s. Waaayyy back in my early Starbucks days, when Jamie and I had only been dating for a year or so, Amanda was hired at my store. I just remember that everyone loved her right away. She was so sassy, always spoke her mind… but was also SUCH a great friend and always there for you if you needed her. We all watched as she worked her butt off through nursing school to make a better life for her daughter. I’ve always admired her work ethic and the way she puts Kennedy, her daughter, first in her life. And I remember always thinking that I couldn’t believe that someone with a kid could be so, well, cool.
Well, a couple of months ago, we somehow figured out through Facebook that Amanda was also living in Birmingham, and we were so excited. Someone we already knew! How crazy is that! A couple of weeks ago, we went to Kennedy’s birthday party. Jamie has always remembered her birthday because it’s the day after his. I still remember going to her third birthday party. It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed! Kennedy’s becoming quite the young lady. :) The party was at a campground, and the girls got to ride ponies, which looked like so much fun. Here are a few shots I grabbed from the day. It was the perfect autumn day in Alabama… enjoy!

obviously, I am a fan of this. horses horses horses! um, can I buy a print of that first photo? It’s beautiful.
I can’t believe how old Kennedy is! She is so beautiful! Love the horse birthday party, every little girls dream! So fun.
