If there’s one thing Matthew and Brittany have (besides a loving relationship, of course!), it’s brand loyalty. I LOVE this about them. When they find a company they love, they stand behind them 100%. Some of their faves? Apple, Starbucks, and TOMS shoes. (And now I officially have that Taio Cruz song in my head… “I’m wearing all my favorite brands, brands, brands, brands”…. I listen to entirely too much Top 40 radio. Don’t judge.)
I also got a taste of it when we began emailing back and forth about their wedding, which I’ll be shooting in December. They have been nothing but excited about working with me, and have been spreading their love of the Morgan Trinker brand all over Facebook and Twitter and beyond. Their excitement has definitely energized me. I mean, how can you not have a blast with two people like these? People who love each other, and life, and making a difference in the world. They’re just too adorable, and I’m so thankful that they stumbled across my website and hired me on the spot.
Last weekend Jamie and I drove up to Knoxville to visit the fam, and on Saturday afternoon I met up with Brittany and Matthew to shoot their engagement session. They wanted to incorporate their love of their favorite brands (since they’ve also played a pretty big role in their relationship), so we started out at the Apple store, where Matthew has worked for the past four years. I warned them in advance that I’ve gotten myself kicked out of more than a few public places in my day during sessions, so we worked fast to get some shots before (sure enough!) a security guard came over and made us leave. :)
We then headed across the street to Starbucks, which is where these two originally met. According to Brittany, she showed up for a game night with friends and ended up getting stuck next to the guy who was asleep on the table. Little did he know that the girl of his dreams was sitting right next to him as he was dreaming. (I know… I make the best jokes ever. Don’t be jealous.)
Part of Matthew’s proposal…. :)
Sometimes I make people do silly things. It’s SO worth it:
Ow, ow… good lookin’ couple!
I don’t consider myself to be much of a traditionalist, but there is something I really love about a nice, simple, smiling portrait. I have a feeling the grandparents and parents will love this one. :)
I know I’ve done this pose a million times, but I just love, love, love it. There must be something about mashing heads together that makes couples look so happy and in love. :)
Thanks you guys for such a fun session! I can’t wait til the wedding!
