Jessica + John // A Vintage Southern Home Wedding in the Afternoon

One word immediately comes to mind when I think about Jessica and John’s wedding: CHILL.

I’m not kidding… it was one of the most relaxed weddings I’ve ever shot, and it was glorious. :) Jessica and John are just laid back and fun kind of people, so it was only fitting that their wedding reflected that. They opted to have a midday ceremony followed by a delicious lunch catered by a local BBQ restaurant. Family and friends spent time together eating, chatting, and playing lawn games on one of the most beautiful fall days we’ve had so far. It was literally perfect.

I also loved their style so much. You might remember from their engagement session that they LOVE blueberries (no, seriously), and that deep shade of blue was a jumping off point for the overall look and feel of the wedding. It was a little vintage, a little Southern, a little classic, and a lot gorgeous.

As always, a massive thank you to Mary Margaret Smith for traveling with me to Florence, loving Cracker Barrel on the road as much as I do, helping me freak out over where we’ll get our morning coffee, and, of course, capturing some of the goodness you’ll see below!

I was slightly obsessed with this stunning wreath Jessica wore in her hair. Such a fresh, romantic, Bohemian-esque choice!

Jessica = GORGEOUS.

Gotta love a bride in a J. Crew dress and cowboy boots. :)

I caught this little flower girl rocking out by herself before the ceremony. Look at those moves! That’s my kinda girl. ;)

Jessica walked down the aisle with her son Drake and John’s son Kolby. The boys are almost the same age and have become super close. LOVE it.

Oh fall. You’re so perfect.

MM caught the shot on the right and I think it’s pretty darn epic.

Jessica changed into SUCH a fun reception dress! So of course I had to pull them away for a few more portraits. :)

STOP IT. Are you kidding me?!

Jessica and John, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day. We had an amazing time and wish you all the best!
