Jessica + Thomas // An English Village Engagement Session

Jessica and Thomas met when they were 2 of 7 total students in an Anatomy and Physiology college class. With three-hour-long labs, they definitely had time to get to know each other, and they connected over being science nerds (he majored in chemistry, she in biology). I love it! Having grown up with a father in the foreign service and living in places like Russia, Cyprus, and Macedonia, Jessica also has an appreciation for foreign foods and walking towns that remind her of Europe. So when she asked me about doing their engagement session when they were planning to be in Birmingham to visit family during Thanksgiving, I immediately thought of English Village, one of my favorite little neighborhoods here in town. It very much has a European feel, with a bakery, an amazing French restaurant, and some other cute little shops and restaurants, so I figured it’d be perfect for a world traveler. :)

This was one of those unseasonably warm days in Alabama, and I can’t say I was complaining. We got some lovely light out of the deal! Plus Jessica and Thomas are just so sweet and cuddly together. It’s obvious how much Thomas adores her, and we kept joking that he’s like a real life Nicholas Sparks character, which was just adorable.

Enjoy this sweet little engagement session!
