I knew immediately upon receiving Lizzie’s first inquiry email that we were going to get along famously. She described the vision she and Eric had for their wedding as a modern, loft-y vibe with bright colors, paper flowers, sushi, and the Beach Boys. And then she showed up at our first meeting with PANTONE SWATCHES to show me her color palette. Um, yes please. Their wedding is coming up this May, and I can’t wait for it, but in the meantime I’m also stoked they opted to do an engagement session and that we got to make a little bit of the magic seen here. We kicked things off at the downtown Birmingham public library (a challenge to be sure, when the click of the camera is way louder than anyone’s voices ;)), then headed over to one of my favorite local spots, the Collins Bar, for some fun mid-century-vibe photos. We then ended the evening at Railroad Park, just in time for some golden hour sunset action. Everything was perfect… the weather, the outfits, the love between these two… and I’m excited to share a few favorites from their session! Enjoy!
That rose gold ring is pure deliciousness.
So, fangirl moment about to happen! Lizzie’s Catcher in the Rye tattoo below was instagrammed by the one and only John Green (author of The Fault in Our Stars and other fantastic books for those of you who don’t freak out over young adult fiction writers). So yeah, I kinda feel like her arm is famous and I’m pretty thrilled I also got to photograph it. ;)
Can’t wait for the wedding, you two! xoxo
