When Lindsay told me that she wanted to do her and Chris’s engagement session at Chris’s parents’ lake house, I was pretty stoked. When she told me it was also the spot where they got engaged, I was even *more* excited. And then, when I pulled up after driving down all sorts of windy dirt roads and saw this gorgeous pale blue home nestled in the trees, I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm. I’m pretty sure I embarrassed myself with the amount of gushing I did, but when you start scrolling, I think you’ll understand why.
This house has been the site of Chris’s extended family gatherings for many years. There were photos throughout the house of past Thanksgivings together there, as well as all sorts of sentimental treasures that I heard the stories behind. So when Chris mentioned offhandedly that his parents were thinking of selling the house, I couldn’t believe it. I’m pretty sure these photos are part of a master scheme to convince them to keep it. Is it working? :)
I had such a fun afternoon with these two and their ADORABLE (and very appropriately named) dog Buck. And I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding at the Bridge Street Gallery and Loft in June!
Enjoy!
I for reals wanted to dog-nap Buck.
Gah, you two! SO CUTE! Can’t handle it!
Most perfect backdrop for photos ever? I think yes!
Kayla F - They can totally sell their house..so I can buy it! Absolutely such a sweet esession!!! And do I spy some film shots in there?!?! Lovely none-the-less!
Hope - Either you know a lot of beautiful people or you have a knack for making them look that way! :-)
