When Emily first told me that she and Woody were bringing a tandem bicycle to their engagement session, I of course was super pumped. I’ve always wanted to shoot with one, but the opportunity had just never presented itself. Even better? Woody restored this bike himself and painted it the best shade of green, which is perfectly fitting for their St. Patrick’s Day wedding next year. How adorable!
Emily and Woody are both mechanical engineers by trade, but when it comes to hobbies, they couldn’t be more different. Emily sticks to tennis, but she told me that Woody has a house filled with “toys” for all his hobbies: beer brewing, building boats, and working on cars, to name a few. As someone with a husband who loves hobbies involving expensive toys, I could completely relate. Here’s hoping they have lots of good storage when they move in together. ;)
We met up on an absolutely stunning day in November, when the leaves were right at their peak. Apparently every other photographer in Birmingham had the same idea because there were sessions happening all around us, but I used my super sneaky skills to scope out some gorgeous (and completely deserted!) spots for us. I have no idea why no one was taking advantage of the stunning yellow gingko tree below, but hey, all the better for us. ;)
Enjoy!
So stinkin’ adorable. I LOVE Emily’s eyes!
Fall color, you’re my favorite.
Thanks so much for a fun session, Emily and Woody! :)
carly - Fall colors do you right, Mo! And I absolutely love that one with the petals falling over them. So cute!
