As I’ve said before, there are few greater compliments than when other photographers ask me to photograph them. When Knoxville photographer Lori Hensley asked me to shoot her and her husband David in honor of their fifth wedding anniversary, I was so honored. Lori and I have been online friends for so long now, and this shoot was actually the first time we’ve gotten to meet in person. She and David are just so cute. Even better? We shot at the new (almost 100-year-old) home that they just purchased and haven’t moved into yet. It is an absolutely gorgeous historic home on a huge property, and Lori said that it will be their forever home, which I think is just so fantastic. It really was special to do this shoot there, and to create these memories and images that they’ll have to look back on as they grow into the house and build their lives and family there.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy these photos! We had such a fun afternoon wandering around the property and doing all sorts of fun, creative things. Another bonus of shooting another photographer? They are literally up for anything. :)
Ummm… could they be cuter? I think not.

lori - you.are.sooooo.amazing!!! these are EXACTLY what we hoped they would be and very better. I cried and think it would be so cool if you could shoot in the house every few years to document the growth of the family.. i’m so thankful to know you and hope i can return this incredible gift you have given us!!
Aunt Heather - What a beautiful house and couple (she reminds me of Mandi Moore!). OF COURSE all are very good pictures, but my favorites are the black and white ones….especially the one of them standing in the door frame. I know they are proud…
