When Perryn and I first began chatting via email, it was easy to see we were going to hit it off juuuust fine. An Alabama girl who fell in love with a northerner and currently lives in New York City? Yes, please. An interior designer and avid lover of all things Kate Spade? Check, check. Planning a wedding combining traditional Southern elements and big city style to give their NYC friends their first taste of Southern hospitality? Sign me up!
Despite a threat of rain and intense storms, everything came together just as planned for Perryn and Brendan’s big day. Perryn’s friend and bridesmaid did the stunning florals (she was convinced to come out of retirement just for this!), and another friend from New York performed a lovely song during the ceremony, which took place at the gorgeous First Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa. So many great memories from this day, not the least of which was the groom’s brothers dance solo to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” (see below :)). Many thanks to my friend Carrie for coming out to assist me on this one!
