Lizzie + Eric // A 1960’s-Inspired Downtown Wedding

Guys, I don’t know how I got so lucky during my last official wedding season, but I seriously struck gold with the most stylish, laidback, fun, really, really in love couples. I kind of can’t believe it. It’s been the perfect way to end close this particular chapter of my career.

Lizzie and Eric? Dang. Where do I begin? Lizzie’s style is crazy enviable. I’m all about her love for the retro– especially since she pulls it off in such a modern, non-time-capsule-y way. Their wedding very much had the feel of a 1960’s celebration, from the polka-dotted blusher (which I very much wanted to steal and wear every day), to the classic bows and Liberty of London printed ties, to the string quartet playing Beach Boys covers, to the sweet and simple wedding cake, to the lattice backdrop set up for the ceremony (an absolute staple of all those mid-century church basement reception photos you see, but totally updated for 2015).

I knew when I met these two for their engagement photos that they would bring it on the wedding day, but even I underestimated just how much it would be brought. Hope you enjoy looking through these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.
